On Friday the 26th, my mom, dad, sister, grandpa x2, grandma x2, uncle x3, aunt x3, cousins x6, and I set off for the south to go to Disneyland. It was my cousins from Canada's first time ever going there, and they're less than 1 years old and 5. The first day that we got there, Friday, was basically a "go to some mall that is pretty rich" day. I brought the D40 and had some fun around with a fountain; people kept looking at me weird because the predominant race in that place was white, and I'm brown. I was walking around and was astounded when I saw an Apple store there. Funny thing was, I was thinking about buying an iPod with the Christmas money that I got the whole ride to L.A. I walked in there with my $250 and started to search. I didn't want to get an iTouch because everyone has one and it's overrated. I didn't want to get an iPod classic because it was too big and I already had one. So, I had to chose between one of the bright colored Nanos. After 10 minutes, I settled on the green one. I picked out a case as well and basically used up all of my money. Sad, but so worth it. After that we arrived at Anaheim and got to our hotel. We had a CPK dinner and then retired to our rooms.
Saturday, the 27th, was hell. There were way too many people in the park making it impossible to move and find fast-loading rides. The kid rides had 45 minute waits, Indiana Jones had a 85 minute wait the whole day, and Space Mountain had a 90 minute wait. I spent most of the day walking alone looking like an idiot just taking pictures of random things. Everyone and their mothers had Nikons and Canons out around their necks showcasing to the world that they're "hot," for having it. I left it in my case because I don't need another fucking crack on it. The day ended when I watched the firework show from Main St. by myself. You have no idea how lonely I felt; couples were holding each other looking up, others holding hands, the fake snow falling, the music that you'd see in romantic movies was playing, parents smiling with their kids, etc...it was embarassing standing there alone. I walked back to the hotel and just slept. I couldn't bare staying awake another minute on that day.
Sunday the 28th was a lot better. I went to Disneyland early as hell to get fast passes for Indiana Jones and Space Mountain before they ran out. I got them both for around 5 o'clock-6. I left the park and went to California Adventure. I must say, this day was so much more empty and less packed. There were no lines for the rides I got on first because they barely just opened the park. I got on the raft ride and got pretty wet. Next I went on California Screamin' and had a blast. I forgot the rush that roller coasters gave and I just indulged in it all. Next I met up with my family and went on the Twilight Zone's Tower of Terror. That ride got better from when I last went on it about 4 or 5 years ago. I had the most stupid face for the picture, so I had to buy it. After that, we all migrated to the Bug's Land place, and the first thing I saw were bumper cars. We all got on and thought it was going to be like normal bumper cars, but they went excruciantingly slow, so we got a little dissapointed. The last ride we did at California Adventure was Soaring Over California or whatever. This ride is pretty cool because when you pass by certain areas, they spray out fake smell of pine and citrus to make it seem like you're actually there. My grandpa really enjoyed this ride, and it was nice to see a smile on his face.
We went back to Disneyland just in time for Indiana Jones. To be quite honest, the ride is not worth the 60+ minute wait they said it was, but it was stil enjoyable. Then we arrived in Tomorrowland and got on Space Mountain. This ride was one of the best rides I got on. It's extremely trippy because everything is dark and it makes you feel like you're in space (duh). But not knowing where you are going to turn next is the best. I got off satisfied, then we went to watch Fantasmic. The show is pretty cool because they use water mist to make a screen for the projected movie. With loud explosions, fire, and dragons, I was able to take -some- pictures, sadly for shitty lighting, I couldn't accomplish much. We then went back to the hotel as one. My dad, uncle x2 and grandpa x2 decided to buy some rum and play poker. I played for a bit then got tired of them being drunk. I then talked to Marci and found out this new mystery person she likes. She didn't give me a name, but I kindof have an idea of who it is..and she's afraid he doesn't like her and other reasons, but I doubt he doesn't...I can tell.
Back to sleeping. My thumbs are bleeding. Bye.
